Indian Social Club, Salalah hosts chess tournament

Muscat: Indian Social Club (ISC), Salalah organised an enthralling open chess tournament at ISC for the people to witness, enjoy and imbibe the principles of sporting spirit.
Manpreet Singh, Chairman of the Indian Social Club, Salalah in his opening address, welcomed the players and guests.
The chairman of the Indian Social Club announced the holding of an underarm cricket tournament from the first week of January 2019 and an open badminton tournament in February.
There were around 40 participants. In the senior category, Ayman Adil Abuelyzeed became the winner and the runner-up was Joseph Paul.
In the junior category, the champion was Yashwant B B and runner up was Anshaj Prakash. The event was well coordinated by sport secretaries Ajith and Binoy. Chairman of social Club Manpreet Singh and other members Mohandas, Rakesh, Ramesh, Girish and Hari presented prizes to the winners.
