Land lease pact for soft drink factory signed

Salalah: Salalah Free Zone signed a usufruct (land lease) agreement for setting up a factory for soft drinks and juices ' Zamzam Cola', whose foreign investment stands at $15 million.
As per the usufruct agreement, a soft drinks and juices factory will be set up with a capacity of 200 million bottles per annum. The production 'Zamzam Cola', which targets markets in the GCC countries, Africa and Europe, is expected to start at the last quarter of next year.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Awadh bin Salim AlShanfari, CEO of Salalah Free Zone (SFZ) and Ali Faraj, CEO for International Business and Exports at Zamzam Iran Group.
“The factory, which is in line with the targeted sectors at the Free Zone, will add value to the Omani economy. SFZ seeks to host more new investments in the coming period,” said Al Shanfari.
On his part, Ali Faraj, CEO for International Business and Exports at Zamzam Iran Group, said that the production of Zamzam Cola factory that will be set up at SFZ targets regional and international markets.
