Expat arrested for breaking in, stealing jewellery in Oman

Muscat: Police in South Al Sharqiyah have arrested an expat for breaking into a home and stealing gold jewellery, the Royal Oman Police has announced.

In a statement online, ROP said, "The Department of Investigation and Criminal Investigation led by the police of South Eastern province arrested an expat of Asian nationality on charges of breaking and entering a home and theft."

The police source added that the defendant managed to steal gold jewellery from the house. However, no information on how much gold was stolen was made available.
