Oman’s consumer watchdog helps recover OMR40,000

Officials from the Public Authority for Consumer Protection in the Wilayat of Seeb helped recover OMR40,000 in one month.
Officials said that the amount was recovered by the Complaints Department after several grievances were resolved in November 2018.
The highest amount recovered was OMR20,766 from the labour services sector, followed by OMR 9,633 from the contracting and building materials sector.
While OMR3,383 was recovered from workshops that repair cars, the rest of the amount was recovered from various other sectors.
