291 expat workers arrested in Oman

Muscat: Nearly 300 expat workers were arrested in Salalah, the Royal Oman Police announced, for violating the Sultanate's labour and residence laws.

In a statement online, police said, "Dhofar Police Command, in cooperation with Special Tasks Police Unit in Salalah, carried out a campaign to arrest violating workers in the Central Salalah Region in Salalah City, where 291 people of Asian nationalities were caught violating labour and resident laws."
