Muscat: Oman’s Embassy in Jakarta has warned Omani citizens to be vigilant following an earthquake of 5.5 magnitude on the Richter scale that hit the Lombok region in Indonesia.
Citizens, officials have said, can also contact their embassy in case of an emergency.
According to the Embassy, a statement by the Geological and Climate Monitoring Centre of the Republic of Indonesia said, “The state of alert has been raised following successive earthquakes in several areas of Lombok and Bali. The embassy has called upon Omani citizens to be vigilant and to communicate with the embassy if necessary on the number: +62816100002.”
