Nearly 150 illegal expat workers arrested in Oman

Muscat: A total of 147 expat workers were arrested in Muscat Governorate for violating the Labour and Residence Law, the Ministry of Manpower has announced.
Authorities said in a statement online: "The ministry and police force carried out an inspection campaign on some houses and farms in Wilayat of Seeb that resulted in the arrest of 147 workers, and legal proceedings are underway."
