Muscat: Omani doctor Musalim bin Said Al-Araimi, has been awarded the Scientific Excellence Award in Genetic Research and Community Impact due to his outstanding contributions to genetic medicine, the Ministry of Health has announced.
Dr Al-Araimi who is the Head of Genetic Consultants and Education in the National Genetic Centre received the award at the 7th International Genetic Disorders Conference 2018 in the United Arab of Emirates.
The doctor was chosen for this award due to his scientific researches and publications published by regional and international medical journals, as well as his outstanding contributions in genetic medicine, molecular diagnostics, and molecular genetics.
This award is granted every two-years by the Genetic Diseases Association in the United Arab of Emirates in the fields of genetic medicine regionally and internationally.
