Ignore rumours online about our banking services: Bank Muscat

Muscat: A Whatsapp recording being shared online has prompted Bank Muscat to issue guidance to customers.
Bank Muscat has assured its customers that its e-banking services are safe to use. “We assure you that our e-banking channels, including mbanking, are fully secure,” an online statement from Bank Muscat said.
Bank Muscat also requested customers to ignore recordings on Whatsapp regarding the mbanking service. “We reiterate that you shouldn't
disclose card numbers, PINs and any confidential information, as this could make you subject to fraud,” the statement added.
