From graffiti making to poetry, Jhankaar Spectrum 2017 dates announced

Muscat: More than 1500 students from 16 Indian schools are expected to take part in Jhankaar Spectrum 2017 to be held on November 2, 2017.
Indian School Muscat’s much awaited annual mega event, the 11th Jhankaar Spectrum, is all set to display the talents of students across the schools in the Sultanate of Oman.
Indian School Muscat has been providing a platform for students to exhibit their inherent aptitude and skills. This year about 1500 students from 16 participating Indian schools are preparing to bag the trophy.
The inaugural function will be held in the school’s multipurpose hall at 8:30am. Indra Mani Pandey, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman will inaugurate the event.
The highlights of the day are dance events, art events, Indian music (solo and group), western music (solo and group), performing art, snapshot and literary events.
This year ISM has included six new events such as contemporary dance, graffiti making, rock bands, poetry recitation in Hindi and in English. Highly acclaimed and well qualified judges from various areas of expertise will be grading the performance of the students.
The first three prize winners will receive their prized trophies at the respective venues immediately after the completion of the competitions. The first five positions will be awarded points of 10, 8, 6, 4, and 2 respectively. The school that secures the maximum number of points at the end of the events will be declared the winner of ‘Jhankaar Spectrum 2017’ and will be the proud possessor of ‘Jhankaar Spectrum Championship Rolling Trophy’ and ‘Jhankaar Spectrum Winner Trophy’. The host school, Indian School Muscat does not compete for the ‘Jhankaar Spectrum Championship Rolling Trophy’. However, ISM teams will compete with all teams in good team spirit for ‘Jhankaar Spectrum Winner Trophy’.
