Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has signed a shared diplomatic declaration with the Republic of Benin in West Africa, Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has said.
According to MOFA’s statement, "His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa al Harthi, the Sultanate's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and H.E Jean-Claude Felix de Rego, Permanent Mission of the Republic of Benin to the United Nation, have signed a shared declaration for the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries on 17 November, 2018.
"The declaration was signed by the two [countries] in New York on behalf of their respective countries," the statement added.
