Four arrested on drug charges in Oman

Muscat: Four people have been arrested on drug-related charges in three separate cases in Muscat, Royal Oman Police (ROP) said.

An official statement read, "The Directorate General for the Control of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances arrested two people on charges of possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking and abuse. Additionally, a quantity of marijuana was confiscated from the accused."

On the other hand, the Department of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances at Muscat International Airport arrested two expats in different cases over drug smuggling attempts. More than 4 kg of marijuana were seized from the culprits.
