ROP celebrates opening of police command in Al Wusta

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) yesterday celebrated the opening of Police Command in the Governorate of Al Wusta, as well as the graduation of police recruits during a ceremony held under the patronage of Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Chairman of the Public Authority for Radio and Television (PART) in the presence of Lt.Gen Hassan bin Mohsen Al Shraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs.

Then, the chief guest inspected the front column of the graduates. The graduates staged a military parade marching before the main dais and demonstrating the high level of skills gained during the training.
The PART chairman handed over awards to top graduates. Then, the graduates chanted the ROP anthem and proclaimed thrice Long Live His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the Supreme Commander.
The ROP music band played various musical pieces. Then, the chief guest accompanied by the Inspector General of Police and Customs unveiled the plaque, declaring the opening the Command’s building. They toured facilities of the new building.
The building comprises multi-purpose halls, an operation centre for management of emergency cases, a forensic lab, administrative offices and police services buildings, which include passport and residency, traffic and civil status, among others.
