Video: Educational institutes shut as heavy rains lash Kuwait

Muscat: Schools, colleges and universities in Kuwait have been closed due to heavy rains, authorities in Kuwait have announced.
Heavy rains that lashed the GCC country on early Tuesday morning, have caused flooding and disrupted daily life.

According to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) "Kuwaiti Education Minister Dr. Hamid Al-Azmi said that all schools, colleges and universities in Kuwait have been suspended due to bad weather conditions, according to the instructions of the Council of Ministers to ensure the safety of students and educational and administrative body."

Authorities have not revealed when these institutes will reopen.
KUNA added, "Based on the decision of the Council of Ministers, all ministries, departments, government institutions and schools [will be closed]."
