Consumer authority in Oman fines two for not supplying full receipts

Muscat: Two businesses in Muscat have been fined OMR200 for not supplying full receipts to customers, according to a statement by the Public Authority for Consumer Protection.
The violations, which fall under Consumer Protection Law No. 66/2014, refers to shops not following the standard of supplying the receipt invoice with the commercial name of the business inscribed and proof of purchase.
The provision states "the supplier shall deliver to the consumer a document or invoice written in Arabic in a clear and easy-to-read manner that proves his purchase of the item or service, as specified in the regulation. Guarantee in the purchase invoice, or in a separate document".
