The latest section of the road to be completed is just under 20 kilometres long and passes through a number of villages including Alkhbeib and Noumia in the province of Al Dhahirah, shortening the distance to Buraimi via Yanqul-Al Buarimi road to about 35 km.
The project includes a cross section of 7.5 m road and 1.5 m side shoulders for each side.
The road has been provided with all traffic safety requirements including steel barriers.
The road is significant as it helps to facilitate the movement of citizens and residents to and from their areas with ease, which helps to increase social communication between people, the ministry said in a statement.
In addition, the road also highlights the tourist components in the region as it provides easy access to a number of beautiful tourist sites such as Wadi Al Fath and Wadi Al Khubaib.
