Oman prepare for Equestrian World Cup in UAE

MUSCAT: The Yemen and Jordan equestrian team who are currently being hosted by the Oman Equestrian Federation are holding a camp at the Al Rahba Farm along with the Oman National Equestrian team in preparation for the Third World Cup which is being hosted by the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, to be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE from October 29 to November 2.
The 12 teams taking part in the world cup are Oman, Norway, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, South Africa, Sudan, India, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan and Iraq.
The Oman Equestrian Federation are now preparing the team after winning the qualifiers which was held in Dhofar Governorate during the Salalah Tourism Festival in 2017. Oman were then joined by Yemen and Jordan after both countries qualified through various competitions held in 2017-18, where the three teams are now camping at the Al Rahba Farm for the last two months under the supervision of the administrative and technical bodies and Munther bin Saif bin Hamad Al Busaidi, chairman of the Omani Equestrian Federation.
The Sultanate’s delegation will be headed by Dr. Jumaa bin Rashid Al Mashaykhai Secretary General of the Federation; Ahmed bin Saif Al Abri, Chairman of the Competitions Committee and manager of the team; Mohammed bin Salem Al Maliki as Kadari of the team and Hamoud bin Salem Al Riyami as Kalami for the team and Coach Mansour bin Ali Al Mahrouki; Assistant coach Maliki, and Task officer Khamis bin Khadabakhsh Balushi, Hilal bin Hassan Al Balushi cavalry team, Hamad bin Nasser Al Rayami, Ali bin Khamis Al Balushi, Omar bin Saeed Al Hassani, Safwan bin Zaid Al Maamari.
