Earthquake reported 81 km away from Khasab

Muscat: An earthquake has been reported in Southern Iran on Monday, according to the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at the Sultan Qaboos University.

A statement issued online by the EMC said, “An earthquake was reported in southern Iran with a magnitude of 4.4 at 3:12 pm MCT and at a depth of 10 km. The earthquake was recorded 81 km away from Khasab.”
