Credit Oman exchanges views on impact of Covid-19 on investment, export credit

Muscat: The Export Credit Guarantee Agency (Credit Oman) took part in a seminar organised via videoconferencing by the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade and the Islamic Corporation for Insurance of Investment and Export Credit on the impacts of coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on investment guarantee and export credit.
The seminar was aimed to enhance and stimulating the trade and investment climate among member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Khalil bin Ahmed Al Harthy, CEO of Credit Oman, participated on behalf of the Omani agency in the seminar meant to elaborate on issues related to trade, the role of OIC credit guarantee agencies under the present circumstances and the procedures undertaken by OIC to promote common goals.
The seminar also reviewed the experiences of guarantee agencies and insurance companies during the pandemic, as well as the difficulties, obstacles and solutions for a way to navigate out of the global crisis with the least possible losses.
