Heavy rains forecast for parts of Oman

Muscat: The weather forecast for Tuesday predicts heavy rain, accompanied by active to very fast winds, and hail at the Al Hajar mountains and surrounding areas.

The Directorate General of Meteorology indicated that the weather today would be partly cloudy over the coastal and mountainous areas of Dhofar Governorate, with intermittent drizzles and generally clear skies over the rest of the Sultanate.

"Possibility of low clouds at the end of the night and early morning over the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman," Oman Meteorology added in its weather forecast.
