Citizen's request for housing assistance approved

Muscat: The Ministry of Housing issued an explanation about the video showing the condition of the citizen, who has hearing and mobility-related disabilities, living in a dilapidated house along with his wife and children.

Commenting on the video, the ministry said, "The citizen's request is included in the housing assistance cases approved for this year and will be implemented soon in wilayat of Samail."

The ministry explained that the citizen's application was registered as housing assistance in April 2011.

The ministry clarified, "The implementation of housing assistance registered in the Ministry is linked to the availability of financial credits provided by the competent authorities. When such credits are available, assistance is implemented in accordance with the priority of the date of registration of the request. Most housing assistance cases are similar in their situation. "
