Partly cloudy skies forecast for some parts of Oman

Muscat: The General Directorate of Meteorology said in a statement: "The weather today will be partly cloudy in the Dhofar and Al Wusta governorates with chances of little rains.

"Rest of the Sultanate will have clear skies with high and medium clouds. There is a possibility of cumulative cloud formation and chances of thunderstorm accompanied by active down winds on Al Hajar Mountains and adjacent areas during the afternoon and evening. There is also a possibility of low cloud formation during the night and in early morning in the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman," added Oman Meteorology in its weather forecast.

Yesterday, the Hajar Mountains areas and the neighbouring wilayats witnessed rains and thunderstorm.
