Fish catch in Oman rises by 24.2%

Muscat: Over 267,000 tonnes of fish have been captured in artisanal, coastal and commercial fishing sectors during the first third of the year 2020 .

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said, "The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries indicated that the total amount of fish that landed in the artisanal, coastal and commercial fishing sectors increased during the first third of this year by 24.2 per cent and amounted to 267,000 and 420 tonnes compared to 215,000 and 243 tonnes during the same period in 2019."
