New COVID cases in Baushar nearly six times that of Muttrah

Muscat: Wilayat Baushar recorded nearly six times more COVID-19 cases than Muttrah on Sunday, according to government data.

The Ministry of Health’s Tarassud app shows that Muttrah recorded just 47 new cases of the disease on Sunday, 28 June, 5.6 times less than the rate reported in Baushar, where 264 more fresh cases have come to light.

So far, Oman has recorded 38,150 cases of COVID-19. 1,197 of these cases were reported today. The number of recoveries stands at 21,200 (55.57 percent of all people who have tested positive for the disease), while 16,787 people (44 percent) reportedly still have the disease.
