HM orders creation of a panel to boost economic growth

Muscat: The Private Office on Sunday issued a statement, reading as follows: In light of the local and global economic impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik gave his Royal orders to form a committee emanating from the Supreme Committee tasked with tackling developments resulting from coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The committee will be chaired by the Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Supreme Committee. It will deal with the economic consequences of the pandemic by devising an appropriate mechanism that ensures a speedy resumption of commercial activities to accelerate economic growth rates.
