Muscat Municipality announces closure of Al Mawaleh Central Market

Muscat: Al Mawaleh’s Central Fruits and Vegetables market will remain closed until further notice, after Muscat Municipality ordered it to shut down temporarily on Saturday, 6 June.
A statement issued by the Muscat Municipality said, "As part of the implementation of the regulatory procedures and health guidelines approved by the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19, and in coordination with the relevant authorities, Muscat Municipality announces the closure of the Mawaleh Central Fruits and Vegetables Market until further notice."
This is the second time the market in Mawaleh has been temporarily shut on health concerns related to COVID-19. On 23 April, Muscat Municipality reopened the market, after a week-long lockdown that started as a precautionary measure against the spread of the novel coronavirus.
