COVID-19: Seven people died in Oman in a single-day, says Minister

Muscat: Oman on Sunday recorded seven coronavirus death cases in the country, according to Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, Minister of Health.

Speaking to Oman TV, Al Said said: "Today we have registered 7 death cases and the total has now reached 49. Five deaths happened outside the hospital," he said.

“199 patients are admitted in hospitals currently,” the Minister said.

According to Al Saidi, the Ministry of Health has collected over 100,000 samples for Covid-19 testing. “We have tested 3,171 people today. The cases have increased due to Ramadan and Eid gathering,” Al Saidi added.
