Centrepoint partners with Al Rahma Association to support on-ground COVID-19 relief efforts

Muscat: To support the efforts of those impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in Oman, Landmark Group’s Centrepoint, in collaboration with non-profit Al Rahma Association for Motherhood and Child Welfare, announced its support to distribute hot meals to frontline healthcare workers, as well as provide food packs to low-income families across the country.
Established in 2005 and proclaimed in 2016 under a ministerial decision, Al Rahma Association works under the umbrella of the social development committee in Al Seeb. The association aims to achieve social solidarity among all social classes, and it pursues to provide all types of support including spiritual, financial, educational, and in-kind support for the less-fortunate people in Oman. With this pandemic, their focus during this time has been on providing food supplies, financial support and other necessities to the affected people.
Renuka Jagtiani, Chairwoman and CEO, Landmark Group, said, “Landmark Group is pleased to join hands with Al Rahma Association in its COVID-19 relief efforts. This pandemic has left the most vulnerable communities struggling for food, which is one of the most critical needs, especially during these trying times. An official from Al Rahma Association said, “We thank the Landmark Group and Centrepoint for extending their support to our COVID-19 relief efforts in Oman. With the donation from Centrepoint, we will provide essential food rations and hot meals to healthcare workers and less fortunate families of our society who are affected by the impact of the pandemic.”
Since the COVID-19 outbreak began, Landmark Group and its brands have been leading several humanitarian initiatives for immediate on-ground support towards local communities, public hospitals and frontline workers in partnership with accredited NGOs within the Middle East and India.
