Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, yesterday, received a cable of greetings on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr from Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed al-Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, Head of the Office of the Supreme Commander.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said, "His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik yesterday has received a cable of greetings on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr from Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed al-Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, Head of the Office of the Supreme Commander. The cable reads as follows:
"Your Majesty, Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, May the Almighty Allah protect you. Upon the advent of holy Eid Al Fitr I, in person and on behalf of all security units, am honoured to send you the most heartfelt wishes, praying to the Almighty Allah to protect your Majesty under His divine care and guard you as a valuable resource for our dear homeland. I pray to the Almighty Allah to endow Oman during your prosperous reign with continued progress. We all pledge to march forward upon the righteous path outlined by the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Bin Taimour, May Allah bless his spirit. We offer thanks and praise to the Almighty Allah for the blessings of bounty, harmony, security, stability and peace relished by Oman."
Gen. Sultan al-Numani added that: " All personnel of the Royal Office would like to reiterate to Your Majesty that they remain steadfast with their pledge of allegiance and their mandate to stay as loyal soldiers of Oman so that it may continue to be an oasis of peace and security. By so doing, they seek to safeguard the gains of the blessed renaissance and consolidate its pillars of security, with a common goal of unity, working side by side with their counterparts in other units of the Armed Forces."
Gen. Sultan al-Numani also said: " Oman will continue to be, under Your Majesty’s wise leadership, an evergreen oasis of glory, deriving power from a deep-rooted human history. It will remain a lighthouse of peace, and an advocate thereof, and a solid edifice that enhances the constant principles of fraternity and harmony with all countries of the world."
"May the Almighty Allah support Your Majesty with success and grant you continued good health and happiness. May the Almighty Allah keep Oman forever stable, safe and tranquil. May the Almighty Allah bless the spirit of the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said and rest his soul in everlasting peace in paradise.”
His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, yesterday, also received a cable of greetings from Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al-Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
A statement issued online by ONA said: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik yesterday received a cable of greetings on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr from Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al-Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, reading as follows:
"As Oman and the whole of the Islamic nation celebrate Eid Al Fitr after fasting through the holy month of Ramadhan, the month of mercy and forgiveness, and, on this happy religious occasion, I am honoured, and so are your Majesty’s Armed Forces and other personnel of the Ministry of Defence, to send the best greetings and wishes to Your Majesty, praying to the Almighty Allah to accept your fasting and all other good deeds, endow you with good health and happiness and grant you a long life."
Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik added that: "As we derive spiritual lessons of magnanimity, benevolence and sacrifice from the holy month of Ramadhan, we pray to the Almighty Allah to grant you success on the march of bounty, so that Your Majesty might steer this dear homeland into a brighter future, full of hope and righteous action. Your triumphant Armed Forces and all other personnel of this ministry, as they greet Your Majesty on this religious occasion, pray to the Almighty Allah to bless your bounteous march. They pledge to double efforts in implementing Your Majesty’s wise directives, deriving impetus from your kind person, your noble patronage and your Royal care."
Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik also said, "May the Almighty Allah protect Your Majesty and bless your reign. Wish you a happy Eid and wish you good health and happiness.”
