Over 800 violations by commercial establishments recorded in Oman

Muscat: More than 800 violations were recorded by the Ministry of Municipalities and Water Resources against commercial establishments that flouted the decisions of the Supreme Committee and the Ministry.

The Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources said in a statement, "The Ministry has issued more than 821 violations against commercial establishments due to their lack of commitment to the Supreme Committee's and the Ministry’s decisions between 15th March to 15th May 2020."

According to the data released by the Ministry, South Al Batinah had the highest number of violations amounting to 241 out of the total, followed by North Al Batinah with 153 violation. Al Dakhiliyah Governorate recorded 123 violations, Buraimi Governorate with 85 violations, 69 violations were recorded in Al Dhahirah Governorate, South Al Sharqiyah has 56 violations, 37 violations against North Al Sharqiyah, Dhofar Governorate registered 33 violations, 20 violations were reported in Wusta Governorate and the least number of violations, which is four, were recorded in Musandam Governorate.
