Academic year for schools ends on May 7

Muscat: Thursday will be the last day of the school year for public and private schools, the Supreme Committee for Dealing with the coronavirus announced.

The Supreme Committee for Dealing with COVID-19 said, "It was decided to end the academic year for all students in public and private schools, on Thursday 7 May 2020, the last day of the school year."

The Supreme Committee for Dealing with COVID-19 authorised the Ministry of Education to adopt the appropriate alternative to calculate the results of students and the mechanism for re-studying in grades one to twelve and the equivalent.
