Muscat: Most parts of the Sultanate will have clear and partially clear skies today. There is isolated rain and occasional thundershowers forecast, alongwith with fresh wind and hail over the governorates of Al Wusta, Dhofar and South Al Sharqiyah, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) said.
In its weather forecast, PACA said: “Mainly clear skies over most of the Sultanate, with advection of high and medium clouds. Chances of convective clouds development with isolated rain, occasional thundershowers associated with fresh wind and hail over Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining wilayats which may extend to the coastal areas of Oman sea during afternoon. Chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches along the coastal areas of governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, Dhofar and Al Wusta. Low clouds also exist on the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea.”
The expected maximum and minimum temperatures will be 40 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees in Muscat, 32 degrees and 28 degrees in Salalah, 40 degrees and 28 degrees in Khasab, 37 degrees and 28 degrees in Sohar, 41 degrees and 31 degrees in Sur, 41 degrees and 27 degrees in Nizwa, 42 degrees and 29 degrees in Ibri and 42 degrees and 29 degrees in Buraimi.
The Oman News Agency (ONA), said: “The highest temperature expected on Wednesday is 42 degrees in the states of Buraimi, Ibri, Rustaq, Samail, Adam, Hima and Fahud, and the lowest is 16 degrees in Jabal Shams.”
