Muscat: Can COVID-19 virus be transmitted in regions where the climate is hot and humid?

A statement issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) said, "With the data available to date, the COVID-19 virus can be transmitted in all regions, including hot and humid weather. Whatever the climate, take precautionary measures if you live in an area where cases of COVID-19 infection have been reported or you intend to travel to such areas."

"Perhaps the best way to protect yourself from COVID-19 is to wash your hands. By doing this, you can eliminate viruses that may be stuck in your hands and thus avoid possible infection if you touch your eyes, mouth, or nose," the statement added.
