Coronavirus: Avoid taking children for shopping, says Ministry

Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry appealed to families to avoid taking children for shopping to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The ministry said in a statement: "As part of the precautionary measures to combat coronavirus and prevent its spread, the ministry advises citizens and residents to adhere to the precautionary measures during shopping. Such as avoid take children to shop, and only one member of the family need to be assigned for shopping."

The ministry also called all for avoiding shopping during the peak hours. “Stores have the right to temporarily close the main doors to avoid rush. We request everyone to use online apps to purchase groceries,” statement added.
