Spain's health emergency chief tests positive for COVID-19

Fernando Simon, the Director of the Center for the Coordination for Health Emergencies at the Spanish Ministry for Health, has tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to the ministry, Simon, 57 years old, developed symptoms late on Sunday night and he was self-isolating at home.

Simon's infection came after Laurentino Cena, the Operations Director of Spain's Civil Guard was confirmed to be infected last week.

The officials said that although there are still cases of coronavirus in the country but the trend now appears to be slowing down.
