First batch of Omani students arrived

Muscat: The first batch of Omani students who are studying abroad returned to the country on Thursday and they will be subjected to medical examination, the National Committee for Emergency Management said.

According to NCEM, the students will be under intuitional quarantine at designated hotels that is at the disposal of Ministry of Health.

“The first batch of Omani scholarship students studying abroad has arrived and will be subjected to examination and then to institutional isolation in hotels designated for that. Special medical and social kits will also be available to take care of them during the isolation period."

The Minister of Higher Education had previously stated that 2,978 students are still abroad and the government is working to facilitate the procedures of their return.
