Two people rescued from wadi

Muscat: Two people were rescued from a wadi on Sunday, Civil Defence has reported.

The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance reported in an online statement "rescue teams from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in Barka in South Al Batinah rescued two people of Asian nationality after they became stuck in wadi Tiwi Al Quroon in the Samdi region of the wilayat of Nakhal."

The statement went on to say that they are both in good health.

Civil Defence calls on people not to risk crossing wadis even when water levels are low.
