Majan Electricity launches new projects

Muscat: Majan Electricity Company (MJEC) is working towards continuously raising its efficiency by expanding its electricity network. Working in this direction, MJEC has recently launched 33kv projects for the year 2018 in Al Dhahirah and Al Buraimi Governorates.
The company plans to construct new Yanqul-2 Primary SS (2x20mva), along with 2 Nos. 33kV Feeders from Arid-1 & 2 Tapping, Dhahirah Governorate, at OMR1.69 million. Also, construction of new Khaws 2 x 6 MVA Primary SS and associated electrical work in Dhahirah Governorate is planned at a cost of OMR414,000.
Construction of Royal Oman Police Primary SS (2X20 MVA) with 2 Nos. 33kV Feeders at New Ibri Grid SS, Dhahirah Governorate, is planned at a cost of OMR1.92 million
Construction of 33KV Feeders from New Dreez Grid Substation to Supply Existing (Bat, Amla & Hajar) Primary Substations in Al-Dhahera Governorate (Phase-2) is at a cost of OMR2.53 million.
Also, planned is the construction of a new 33kv feeder from Yanqul-1 PSS to Murri existing feeder at a cost of OMR379,000. Construction of the 33kv feeder from the existing Arid-2 feeder to Khaws PSS 2x6 MVA at a cost of OMR400,000 is also to be undertaken.
Replacement of Wooden Gantry to Steel Gantry & Upgrade from 1x6 MVA to 2x6 MVA for Zroup-18, at Al Buraimi Governorate, is also planned at a cost of OMR315,000. Also, the upgrading of Afradh Primary substation from 1x3MVA to 2X6MVA at Al Buraimi at a cost of 154,000 is also to be undertaken.
