Coronavirus: UAE decides to admit GCC citizens

Muscat: The United Arab Emirates (UAE), has decided to allow entry for citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, starting from Saturday. Everyone who wants to enter must adhere to a home quarantine of 14 days, the Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

ONA said in a statement: “The UAE has decided to update procedures for the entry of citizens of the GCC countries, which will be available from tomorrow, Saturday, March 21, 2020, at 10 am and until further notice. The decision is part of the framework of precautionary measures that it is taking to face COVID-19.”

“Citizens of the GCC who want to enter the country must undergo a check-up on arrival, in addition to adhering to home quarantine for 14 days for whoever has a house in UAE as well as those who do not own a house. This is decided by the competent authorities,” the statement added
