Two more new cases of coronavirus reported in Oman

Muscat: Two more new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Oman, the Ministry of Health announced on Monday.
The Ministry of Health issued statement No 12 that said, “The Ministry of Health (MoH) announces the registration of two new confirmed cases with novel coronavirus, COVID-19, in citizens who travelled to Iran. The two patients are under quarantine and are in stable condition.”
The statement pointed out that “this brings the total number of COVID-19 cases registered in the Sultanate to 18, in which 17 cases are related to travel to Iran and one to Italy.”
The Ministry confirmed that nine cases have completely recovered while the others are in stable health conditions.
The Ministry of Health called upon all to adhere to the quarantine procedures as instructed and avoid public and worship places.
The national carrier, Oman Air, announced on Monday that it will suspend its flights to Milan.
A statement issued online by Oman Air said, “Oman Air will suspend all flights to and from Milan with immediate effect until further notice.”
“This comes in response to the outbreak of COVID-19 around the world, and in the interest of the safety of our guests and employees and in coordination with the Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA).”
“All guests are advised to monitor our website and social media channels for further updates,” the airline added.
