Muscat: The United Arab Emirates (UAE), has taken the decision to suspend temporarily the use of ID cards for the Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC).
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said: “The Embassy of the Sultanate in Abu Dhabi notes that the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has decided to temporarily suspend the use of ID cards for citizens of the country and citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries.”
“This decision will apply at 12:01 am after midnight on Friday 28th of Feb 2020,” the statement added.
