Muscat: The Ministry of Education in Bahrain has confirmed that there are no cases of coronavirus infection in schools, the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) said on Tuesday.
However, governmental and private higher education institutions, in addition to government and private schools, and kindergartens will remain closed for two weeks beginning Wednesday.
The Ministry of Education in Bahrain pointed out that: “This is as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students in light of the precautions taken by the state to limit the spread of the coronavirus.”
A statement issued online by BNA said, “The Ministry of Health in Bahrain announced the registration of six new cases of persons infected with the Coronavirus, besides 19 Bahraini citizens coming from Iran via Sharjah and Bahrain International Airport, bringing the total number of infected cases so far to 23 in the Kingdom.”
The Ministry of Health in Bahrain confirmed: “The Ministry is conducting the necessary checks for all incoming travelers from one of the affected countries upon their arrival at Bahrain International Airport in the hall designated for this matter.”
Meanwhile the Ministry of Commerce in Bahrain closed three pharmacies with an administrative lock for hiding masks and manipulating their prices.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Development also announced the suspension of the study activities and programs for a period of two weeks, starting Wednesday, in all government rehabilitation centers of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development.
