Muscat: Spraying operations to control the spread of locust has begun in the villages of Al Musnaah and Rustaq in South Al Batinah governorate.

Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries said in a statement: “The ministry announced to the citizens, livestock breeders, and honey bee keepers the start of spray operations to control the desert locust in the villages of Al Musnaah and Rustaq in South Al Batinah governorate in which desert locust swarms are present.”

“The ministry note that it is necessary to take caution and cooperate for the public interest.” they added.
