Moderate to heavy rains predicted over Oman

Several parts of Oman will receive heavy to moderate rainfall starting form Monday.

There will be a noticeable decrease in temperatures across Sultanate, especially over mountainous and desert regions.

Active northwesterly winds could cause dust storms in deserts and along coasts of Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates.

“From tomorrow morning till Wednesday morning, there is a possibility of moderate and sometimes heavy rains in Musandam governorate and scattered rains over the coast of Oman Sea. This will be accompanied by a rise in waves at the coasts of Musandam and the Oman Sea (medium to rough waves up to 2.5 meters in height).” - Oman Meteorology Department
