Muscat: The first meeting of 2020 of the Steering Committee was held to follow up on the initiatives and projects emanating from the fisheries laboratories, implementation program.
The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Awfi, Minister of Agriculture and Fish Resources, and in the presence of committee members from various relevant authorities.
His Excellency started the meeting by thanking the attendees for their continuous follow-up in accomplishing the initiatives and projects during the year 2019 and urged them to continue more efforts this year to achieve the economic and social return of the Sultanate.
The committee aims to follow-up and support initiatives and projects in the fisheries sector to improve the national economy and promote economic diversification.
