Firms asked to register on ROP e-visa system at the earliest

Muscat: Companies and institutions that have not registered themselves on the Royal Oman Police’s (ROP) e-visa system are requested to do so at the earliest.
The ROP has asked companies that have not done so to visit https://evisa.rop.gov.om, and log in, either as an employer or public relations representative, and follow the instructions therein.
A statement from the Royal Oman Police said, “The owners of new commercial organisations, which were not previously registered in the old system, must go to the nearest branch of the Public Department of Passports and Residence to register their commercial establishment in the system and then follow the subsequent steps.
“The electronic visa system is a device developed by the ROP to keep pace with the government’s vision that seeks to provide a different version of the traditional visa system, and make it easy for employees and auditors to complete procedures electronically,” added the ROP statement.
On the visa page, once logged in, company representatives and public relations officers can find a detailed explanation of how to register their organisations in this system. This explanation is for companies that were previously registered in the ROP’s old system, the one that was in place before the e-visa was implemented, through which company owners had previously applied for visas or registered vehicles, as well as any other ROP service.
