Police will seize your car for driving with these violations in Oman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has issued a statement warning motorists that their vehicles may be seized for violating certain rules repeatedly.

ROP said in a statement: “The vehicle may be seized if the opacity of the glass exceeds the limit prescribed within 90 days from the date of the first infraction."

The presence of writings or drawings, or a loudspeaker, banners, or stereoscopic models with intent to advertise, without obtaining a permit could also lead to the vehicle being confiscated, ROP said.

“The driver of the vehicle may be detained if he uses a mobile phone, or any other electronic devices while driving, in case of repetition within 3 months from the date of the first Infraction," the statement added.
