Muscat: Mwaslat has announced some changes for a number of routes within the city of Muscat from 9 am to 5 pm and until Tuesday, the 14th of January.
A statement issued online by Mwasalat said: “ We would like to point out that there are some changes in the number of lines of routes inside the city of Muscat, according to the announcement issued by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), regarding the closure of Sultan Qaboos road for traffic, starting from Burj Al Sahwa Roundabout in both directions to-and from the city of Muscat from 9 am to 6 pm.”
Mwasalat clarified, “Several line routes in Muscat have changed, these are: Line No. (1) from Al Mabaila to Ruwi, the highway will be used until the intersection of the old Muscat Airport and then to Sultan Qaboos Street.
Line No. (P) from Ruwi - Muttrah - Muscat, it is temporarily suspended until 6 pm. While for Line No. (ABA) which travels between Al-Mabaila - Airport and Ruwi - Airport, the highway will be used till Muscat International Airport and will be out of from the Airport towards the 18 February road and then to Al Mouj to the intersection of the Holiday Inn and then on to Sultan Qaboos road.”
“ Line No. (8) which is North Al Mawaleh - Airport - Al-Khuwair, 18 November road will be used until the intersection of Al Ghubrah and then to Al Khuwair. Line No. (9) from Al Azaiba- Al Ansab - Al Misfah Industrial City, the Ghala intersection will be used to cross between Al Azaiba and Al Ansab.” Mwasalat added
Line No. (12) starting from Burj Al Sahwa - Al Irfan - Al Khuwair, will run through the Royal Hospital.
Mwasalat confirmed that: “The following lines will operate as usual without any change in their tracks: Line No.( 1 ) from Al Khoud - Sultan Qaboos University - Burj Al Sahwa, Line No. ( 7 ) from Al Mabaila- Al Khoud - Burj Al Sahwa, Line No. ( 10 ) from Al Mabilah - Souq Al Seeb - South Al Mawaleh - Burj Al Sahwa, Line No. ( 2 ) start from Ruwi - Al Wadi Al Kabeer), Line No. ( 3 ) From Ruwi - Wadi Adi and Line No. ( 5 ) Ruwi - Al Amarat.”
Mwaslat said: “ With regard to inter-city trips and trips within welayats of Salalah and Sohar, they will operate normally according to the normal working hours
