Muscat: Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, and his accompanying delegation left the Sultanate yesterday after concluding the two-day visit during which he met His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

The Emir of Qatar and his accompanying delegation were seen off by His Highness Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'amani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Saud Al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Minister of Justice (Head of the Mission of Honour Accompanying the Emir of Qatar), Nasr bin Hamoud bin Ahmed Al Kindi, Secretary-General of Royal Court Affairs, Mohammed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Wahaibi, Sultanate's ambassador to Qatar, ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Sultanate and members of the embassy of Qatar to the Sultanate.

The visit came within the context of the leaders' keenness to boost the cooperation and further realise the aspirations of their  people. His Majesty the Sultan has received a cable of thanks from Sheikh Tamim on the conclusion of his visit.

He expressed his utmost thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome and generous hospitality extended to him and his accompanying delegation during the visit. He affirmed that his visit was a good opportunity to promote the strong ties and enhance the cooperation in the interest of the Omani and Qatari people.



The Emir of Qatar wished His Majesty the Sultan good health and wellbeing and the Omani people further progress and prosperity under His Majesty's wise leadership.
