Muscat: The Public Prosecution has advised all citizens and residents in the Sultanate not to use remote control aircraft, drones and any other flying object in the Sultanate without obtaining approval from the competent authority and has clarified the penalties for violating this decision.
A statement issued online by Public Prosecution on Sunday said: “The use of remote control aircraft, drones and any other flying object in the Sultanate without obtaining approval from the competent authority, is a crime that carries a sentence of one year imprisonment, and a fine of OMR 10,000."
